Markus Rimmele

Markus Rimmele started his career with an apprenticeship as a Mechatronic Technician in 1992 in South Germany. He furthered his education with an Electrical Engineering degree in Germany in 2002 and later an Executive Master in Business Administration from Georgia State University in 2018. He has been involved in all phases of customized production machine manufacturing throughout his career, from engineering design to installation to life cycle management. Fifteen years ago, he immigrated to the United States through a work transfer. He has over 25 years of industrial automation experience focusing on European manufacturing technology for the North American market. He has expertise in engineering and manufacturing for different industry verticals, including automotive, medical device, solar energy, material handling/warehouse automation, and customized packaging solutions. Markus is an IoT advocate with a passion and vision for digital transformation in manufacturing and life cycle management. He holds certifications in Reliability (CRL) and Maintenance Management (CMM), Lean Six Sigma, Change Management, and Machine Safety.
Markus founded MR Service&Consult LLC in 2020, a boutique consultancy in process improvement, digitalization, and reliability projects focusing on the manufacturing industry. In addition, he founded 2021 the brand DigitalituM to consult, sell and implement Digitalization tools in the Manufacturing industry.
As a volunteer, he co-facilitates the Digitalization Consortium with the Reliability Leadership Foundation and contributed to the book “Uptime Elements – Internet of Things – Digitalization Knowledge Domain” by Reliabilityweb.com. He spoke at Maximoworld 21/22 as well as on IMC 21/22 about these topics.
