Machine Vision Engineer
Reaching for the sky since I was knee high.
When I was too small to "ride this ride," time-outs were more of a reward than a punishment – with my head in the clouds, any moment of introspection was spent daydreaming about exactly what I could accomplish in this world. Those early years were centered around becoming a cartoonist; I had stories to tell and an unyielding love of the arts. As I grew older and was introduced to new forms of media, my interests shifted toward video game design. This followed me all the way to ninth grade, where by sheer dumb luck, I stumbled face-first into my true passion: Engineering.
I work in industrial automation, applying machine vision to solve complex inspection challenges and streamline manufacturing processes. My attention to detail and perseverance have contributed to many successful vision system installations across the US and Canada. While I like the hands-on, technical nature of what I do, I've also discovered that I enjoy aspects of inside sales and market research as well. My strength lies in my ability to be the bridge between advanced technologies and the people who can most benefit from them.
In my off time, I mentor the competitive robotics team that I helped to establish in high school. I teach the next generation of STE(A)M leaders crucial soft skills that are often overlooked in formal education. Giving back to the community is important to me, and my favorite way to do this is by inspiring young talent to pursue their interests in engineering and beyond.
