VP of Sales

I started out in this industry drilling holes in control panels, then assembling and wiring them. I also did installation and troubleshooting work before getting an opportunity to move to the engineering department. I then designed control systems for small and large machines, finishing up with a million dollar heat treat furnace design and installation in Saltillo, Mexico when I was 26.

Interestingly, I wrote the companies first justification for an HMI.

I got out of the industry for 6 years and ran my own small business which I consider my own personal MBA. There is nothing more real than having to sell to make payroll. This is where I fell in love with sales and also realized that I missed the automation world.

I returned to the industry as a Distributor Salesperson. Working for both a Siemens distributor and a Rockwell distributor before going to work for a Manufacturers Rep. And then to Weintek USA, where I have been for almost 7 years.

That's resume stuff...here is who I am.

I love being in sales.

I think technical sales is the perfect marriage of art and science.

Sales is ultimately an exercise in communication. Constantly trying to find the right message to communicate to potential customers the value of the products and solutions we offer.

Every person I talk to has different needs, different problems they are looking to solve and different biases. My role is to effectively communicate how we can help them.

I also love mentoring and coaching other sales people. I get real satisfaction from sharing what I have learned and encouraging our sales team to succeed.

I find it incredibly fascinating to talk to engineers from our industry who are working to design different machines and systems. I learn new things all the time!

It sounds incredibly cliche, but I do believe that I have a mission to let people know about our products, because I truly believe we bring a lot to the table.

Lastly, I have been married for 28 years and we have 3 kids. One out of college, one in college and one in High School. I live outside of Kansas City in a town that is the perfect marriage of "small town" and suburb to a larger city.

That's probably more than you ever cared to know, but I hope it helps!
