Haley P.

I am a 17 year old high school student at CVCC's XLR8 STEM Academy on the engineering track; I have hopes of becoming an engineer. My mechatronics/engineering professors are Marci Gale and Danny Murphy. I also attend an engineering mentorship every two weeks. I spent years in dance and gymnastics, and I currently practice Muay Thai, boxing, MMA, and tumbling. My hobbies include skateboarding, makeup artistry, crochet, film and video editing, electric bass, singing, and electric guitar. I have been a feminist/women's advocate for as long as I can remember. It's how I was raised and it will always be a part of me. I love knowing that I have the capability to show other women that STEM is a career option for them, as well as to empower them in general. Throughout my life, I have learned how to express myself and my mental health through art. Above all else, my education and career in engineering is most important to me.
