Maintenance and Facilities Manger
25+ Years in maintenance and automation. Doing everything from starting as a entry level technician and working my way up the ladder. The last 10 have been as Maintenance and Facilities Manager at various companies. I have worked on and managed automation projects up to a 1+ billion dollar automation project for an semiconductor manufacturing facility. Currently Maintenance and Facilities Manager at Optimim of a team of 8 mechanics, 1 Controls and Automation Technician, and 1 open position for a Controls and Automation Technician with PLC programing and hydraulics and/or pneumatics experience.
Also in my free time I like to spend time with two of my nieces and there friends teaching them about mechanics, electronics and automation. We mostly do this through a variety of toys on the market like Lego Education products, various kids robots like Sphero and Wonder Workshop, Little Bits electronics kits, etc. Also have some limited stuff we have been able to acquire from various jobs we have had over the years. Things like some small motors, sensors, pneumatics parts etc.. Really looking forward to some day getting some real PLCs to get these kids hands on.
